After: 1974 MG MGB
It wouldn’t be until September of 1974 that MGBs started to come with rubber bumpers. This one built in February 1974 has now been restored 41 years to month of when it was originally built. This project took a year for us to complete and the results were well worth it.
SU Tuning
Using the new Dynojet we can now tune carburetors in a quarter of the time and we have solid quantitative data to know that we have it right where it should be.
Roman Purple
The Norton Commando 750 tank and side covers came out great. It took three bottles of flake to get the coverage and many layers of clear.

We took this 1954 MG TF out of the shed it had been sitting for innumerous years and mechanically restored it back for street use.
Studebaker Crate
It is unusual to see a Studebaker 232 V8 crate motor like this one complete with transmission. This is the new power plant for our Studebaker Commander project.
After: 1954 Nash Metropolitan
After: 1954 Nash Metropolitan. This great little car has been fun to have around. It is amazing that the vacuum tube AM radio functions properly. Vintage Firestone white wall tires completes the 50’s look on this little car. Is it American or British? It seems that everyone loves it no matter what you call it.
Progress: 1958 Grumann Olson
The conversion from step van into coffee truck is coming along, the huge leap of cutting the hole for the new vendor door has been taken. A paint color is not yet decided but check back soon to see what has been chosen.
After: 1958 Austin-Healey Sprite
The finishing touches are being done on the Sprite after the happy owner drove the car for the first time since 1967.
Painted: 1955 Powercar Thunderbird Jr.
Now resprayed in 1955 Thunderbird Blue, this car is ready for chassis restoration before the new little owner takes their first drive.
1965 Volkswagen Beetle
For some cars it is cheaper to swap a new transmission than to rebuild the old one. In this Beetle you can quickly drop the engine, disconnect the axles and swap transmissions in a couple hours.
Before: 1955 Powercar Thunderbird Jr.
Designed in conjunction with Ford’s design team these six volt electric cars were created to help bring in families to the Ford dealerships to test drive Ford’s new Thunderbird.
Signal the Triumph
All of the body panels are now mounted back onto the Signal Red 1960 Triumph TR3A and we can glimpse of the finished product.
MGB Invasion
Spring is here and it seems MGB owners can’t wait to get their cars out on the road. Two showed up in one day to have a once-over after being in winter storage.
After: 1963 Chevrolet Bel Air
The Bel Air is finished and ready to go home. The owner even already brought in new project for us to start on.
Penton Jackpiner
The Penton Jackpiner parts are painted, the aluminum tank is significantly lighter and ready for the Penton decals.
Progress: 1974 MG MGB
The 1974 MG MGB roadster has been painted and now on to assembling the engine. We have rebuilt the transmission as well as a new rear end that will be dropped in to convert this car over to wire wheels.
Austin 850 Completed
Finally we have all the parts together to complete the engine for the Austin Moke project.
